Lighthouse

Keeping watch across the haven
A lighthouse stands thick and heavy
Blistered by crashing waves
Wind-tossed turmoil

Its smooth curves are perfection
The eye watches as I wander through
The fragments of a fractured life
Of wind-tossed turmoil
Musing over what is, what might be

As I look in stunned silence across
The sombre waves crashing, breaking
Lifting my fragile vulnerability into
The vast openness..
And the grace of God touches me

Exposing my weakness but
Learning to trust the Lighthouse
Leading me through wind-tossed turmoil
Leading me home
