In El Shaddai’s presence I sit
With the earth roaring, gripping me into deathly silence
In the terror of the night I say this
‘You God are my refuge, I trust in You, and I am safe’
Safe, oh so safe, in the arms of Jesus.
Help me to be still as I seek Your presence
surrounded by the debris of my broken vessel.
You God are my God, lover of my soul,
Safe, oh so safe I am, knowing that You are with me
Calling me, sheltering me under Your wings
Of grace, love, compassion, mercy and forgiveness.
