Dear Life-Partner,

We are continuing to getting to know each other. We spend a lot of time together. We laugh like we’ve never laughed before.  Our bodies shake when we laugh. We lose sense of time. We have an open and transparent relationship. We talk about everything under the sun. I trust you implicitly.  I feel safe with you. I feel like I can be myself around you. I do not have to wear a mask because I know that you will not judge me. Instead you love me for who I am. You draw me close and I feel alive in the knowledge that it is well and that I am indeed safe with you.

You’ve changed my life completely. Showed me how to live again and not to be afraid. You showed me how to trust God again. You unlocked my door and showed me what to hope means again and I truly appreciate everything you’ve done for me. Thank you so much for treating me like a princess and for wanting me to be a part of your life. I love you dearly.

Everyone we know are hopeful for us, are praying for us that the direction we are heading towards is right. That the direction we are walking hand-in-hand will lead to marriage. That we will tie the knot one day and become one. Serving the kingdom of God together.

I know I am not always the easiest person to be around with. Sometimes when insecurity ugly head rears to the surface I become hard, I become afraid. What if all this is too good to be true? What if all the good things will come to an end? I hope not. I pray that it won’t. I am choosing not to let doubt rule my head. I am choosing to believe that God’s brought us together for a purpose. To be an encouragement to one another, to love one another and to lead us into marriage. Every day it is a confirmation from the Lord that we are meant to be together. Every day is a day closer to when we will get married.

You’ve given me so much. You’ve encouraged me so much, and I can only hope that I do the same for you. That I am an encouragement to you. That I am a blessing to you. That I bring joy into your life, that I bring hope into your life in the same way that you brought hope into mine. In the same way that you brought joy into my life.

My heart is connected to yours in ways that is beyond my comprehension. My heart sings along with your heart. You make me do things I would never have contemplated doing. You draw out the good in me.

God is the centre of everything that we do. Of everything that we’ve worked towards. I’ve prayed so long for you, it is hard to imagine that you have finally arrived in my life. I thank God every day for how wonderful you are. I thank God for your gentleness. I thank God for your goodness. I thank God for the love that you have. I thank God for you being a praying man. I thank God for the love that you have for him.

My sweet love you are an inspiration to me. You make me want to be a better person, you make me want to sing for joy on the top of my lungs without a care in the world of what others might think of me. You make me want to skip down the road. You make me want to draw even closer to the Lord. You’ve unlocked a door and walked right into my heart. You don’t care about my brokenness. It doesn’t bother you. You build me up, you don’t tear me down. You are an encouragement. I am truly very grateful for you.
