Lamentation 3.19-24 – I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to my mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is m portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
There is hope in sorrow
When branching tentacles
Seek to knit my broken heart.
Lord, I pray – hear my prayer.
Give me strength to face the day.
Your face I seek
Amongst the debris and chaos
Of my life scattered like
Defenceless worn out leaves
Leaving a trail where the wind blows
This I know God is my comfort
He comforts me under the shelter
Of His mighty wings
And leads me along still waters.
There is hope in sorrow
Even now in this dark world
