To the family that took me in graciously 7 months ago when I had nowhere to go to… God bless you richly.
Matthew 25.35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.
If you ever wonder what life’s journey brings you
Just look around you, at every stranger
Each has a story. Some share it. Some stay silent.
Then just look into my eyes and ask me
You’ll hear a story
A story hard to believe, yet so true
A miracle in itself of how God’s love
Heals wounds of brokenness, despair,
How God can bring so much into one person’s life
A blessing in disguise to so many
Still not so disguised – after all for me
I experienced it.
I experienced love amongst strangers
When I was all alone
On a journey of the unknown
Father opened the door
To a strangers home and blessings rained on me
Blessing after blessing
Family away from family
Stranger amongst family
Love given, kindness not bought
Freely given like Jesus loves
Like Jesus gives
A gift for me
Was a gift for them
We loved freely
We shared freely
We talked freely
We laughed freely
We cried freely
We said nothing
And it was OK
We felt at home in each other’s presence
So it was stranger amongst family
A home found away from home
A journey that started in despair
Ended with so much love
Thank you for your gift.
Thank you for your blessing.
My prayer is that the Lord will bless you
Mightly in return.
Till we meet again.
I’ve come to love you as my family.
Hugs and love
