Don’t Give Up Just Cos’ it is Hard

‘Don’t give up before the miracle happens’ – Fannie Flag

Don’t give up just cos’ it is hard. I know that life gets tough sometimes. I know that the lockdown gets to us all in some weird strange way. But God’s got your back. He won’t let you down. Just turn your eyes to the Lord. He will make a way where there seems to be no way. It is OK to have a bad day and to ask for help sometimes. You just have to ask. Don’t be afraid. There is no shame in asking for help. Just don’t give up. Please when the going gets tough turn to the cross. Surrender everything to the Lord. Give Him your heart and He will comfort you.

2 Corinthians 1:3 – Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Sometimes we are faced with difficult situations. Challenging situations. Sometimes this makes us want to run a thousand miles away from the situation. But will it help – the running? If you run away from it? Wouldn’t it be easier to bring it to God? Father God knows your struggles. He doesn’t want you to bare them on your own. He wants us to surrender it at the foot of the cross and to be still. He says come my child and I shall give you rest for your souls. I will look after your needs. Stop running, turn to me. It will be OK. God has a plan for your life. God can do the impossible. He will make a way out of the desert into quiet pastures. God will show us if we trust Him.

Don’t give up just because you hear someone whisper sweet nothings into your ears. It could just be the devil’s ploy to undermine you when you are at your most vulnerable. When you are at your weakest, most vulnerable and completely exhausted that’s when your guards are down. Don’t allow the enemy to come in. Cling onto the anchor – our Father God and let Him guide us. Let Him lead the way. Don’t be afraid and discouraged.

Isaiah 41:10 – Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and I will help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
