Diary: Day 37 – A Walk on Water

Philippians 4.19 – And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Today, has been a lazy day. OK. Most days have been lazy since I got to Germany.  The only thing that I have done is been cooking most days. I love cooking.. And today I have cooked a Belgian recipe. Braised endive with ham, mashed potatoes, and emmental baked in the oven. I think the last time I ate this was on the day that I found out that my son died. Over four years ago now.  I can’t remember if I have eaten it since.  Anyways I am on a healing journey, so I suppose it won’t hurt me to eat it!  Plus I think I made it slightly different to how my mom would have made it.

I watched people get ready for a wedding today in the house. And I wondered if I would ever be the one to get ready for my own wedding. Maybe. Maybe not. There are days where I do wish to marry. But only the Lord knows.  I would love to share my life with someone. Have my own family one day.. Who knows. If that is even possible?

Not much to report today – except that it is hot. Very hot. And I am kind of feel like jumping in a cold lake to cool down. This is what I would have done if I was in Slovakia.

I wish you all a happy weekend.
